Since its founding, OSURA has offered members the opportunity to attend and volunteer at OSURA events and university events. From pre-game dinners to tours, members have enjoyed a variety of on and off-campus events over the years. Walk and Talk with a Botanist with Dr. Aaron Liston - In-person event!

The OSU campus has a diverse collection of trees and shrubs with representatives from all continents except Antarctica. Dr. Aaron Liston, Professor of Botany & Plant Pathology and Director of the OSU Herbarium, will guide a tour of these botanical riches, highlighting their biology and history. OSURA registrants will meet outside the campus Beanery at the corner of Monroe and 26th Street. The walk will be a mile and a half and will allow time to observe and learn about the plants we’ll be viewing. Masks will be required for the duration of the event regardless of immunization status.
Planning for Retirement: Exploring Opportunities, Surprises and Concerns Beyond Finances - TBA
This workshop is for faculty and staff who are within one to three years of retirement. Retirement is a major life transition and requires planning for other than just financial matters. This workshop will explore these areas and illustrate some aspects of the physical, psychological, and social dimensions of retirement. Dr. Carolyn Aldwin, Director of the Center for Healthy Aging will provide an introductory presentation followed by a panel of four retired faculty/staff from OSU.
